Affordable Art Fair Brisbane 2025

Still buzzing after an epic weekend at the Affordable Art Fair in Brisbane.

After months in the studio, experimenting and building this new body of work, it was unreal to finally see it all come together and outinto the world. At the Affordable Art Fair in Brisbane. This show marked a bit of a milestone for me — the first time I’ve exhibited my brass pieces. Paintingon brass has been an idea simmering away in the back of my mind for years. I finally took the leap, and I’m stoked with the results. The warm, golden tones of the metal bring something totally different to the work — catching the light in unexpected ways and adding a subtle glow that really lifts the layered textures. It’s raw, earthy, and full of movement — a perfect match for the energy of my wildlife and farm animal subjects.

I also released a fresh series of mini blooms — small but bold studies of native flowers, arranged in vases and painted onto recycled cardboard. There’s something I love about the contrast between the delicate florals and the rough, honest surface of the board. They’re playful, vibrant, and full of character — a fun shift in scale that brought a lighter, moreintimate vibe to the collection.

It was an honour to exhibit alongside the incredibly talented Ailish Bourke and James Price — such a top crew and a great energy across the whole weekend.

Massive thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand, had a yarn, and especially to those who took a piece home. Whether you’re a newcollector or someone who’s been following my work for years — your support is everything, and I’m forever grateful.

And of course, big love to the Affordable Art Fair teamfor putting on another cracking event. Already counting down the days till I’m back — see you next year, Brissy! ❤️🙏🏼
