There’s something about Aussie natives — raw, sculptural, and totally unapologetic. I’m constantly drawn to their form and energy. In this diptych, I’ve let waratahs, banksias, daisies, and proteas explode across two canvases, creating one bold, flowing composition. I love how the diptych format gives the flowers room to breathe and move, like they’re growing wild across the wall. Painted in my signature expressive style, with layered textures and vibrant colour, this piece is all about impact and rhythm. It’s a big, joyful celebration of Australian flora — perfect for collectors of contemporary botanical art with a native twist.

Through the use of mixed media, combining acrylics, spray, enamel and intermittent use of oil paints I let my subject emerge from a rich and deeply layered base. The dimensional texture that masterfully unveils each layer, lets the bright colours play in harmony and contrast with each other.
This artwork is created on 380gsm 100% cotton canvas and finished with a double coat UV resistant, high gloss varnish to protect the integrity and longevity of the painting. Stretched and ready to hang, using gallery-grade hanging wire, this artwork is completed with a custom-crafted floating frame made from Tasmanian oak. I have signed this original painting on the front and back, with its title and date written on the rear of the canvas.
